To create a web based on a different template
- From the File menu, click New then Page or Web...
The New Page or Web task pane is displayed on the right-hand side of the application window.
- From the New from template section, click Web Site Templates...
The Web Site Templates dialogue box is displayed.
- In the Web Sites list, select an appropriate template
- In the Specify the location of the new web: box, type or select a location and a name for the new web
- Click OK
Create a Web Using a Wizard
Many of the web templates present you with a wizard to help you customise the web.
To create a web using a wizard
- From the File menu, click New then Page or Web...
The New Page or Web task pane is displayed on the right-hand side of the application window.
- Choose a location to store the web in then select one of the Wizard icons
- Click OK
The first page of the Web Wizard is displayed.
- Respond to each question about your company and the information you want to present on your web
- To move to the next page of the Wizard, click Next>
- If you make a mistake you can move back to a previous page in the Wizard by clicking <Back
- Click Finish to create the new web
FrontPage creates a new web, based on the responses you have given.
The Home Page is called index.htm - but supporting pages have been created too.
