
Database Window
The Database window has its own Title bar and its own toolbar. The Objects bar, on the left-hand side of the window displays the types of database objects. The right hand object list pane lists all of the available objects of the selected type, plus some additional wizard objects where appropriate.
In this course you will be looking at the following four objects types: table, form, report and query. You will be creating and manipulating some of these objects later in the course.

As you do so, the object list pane is updated with the list of currently available objects. Even in a blank database, there will be objects in some of the windows - usually wizards and other such useful objects. In some cases, there are two or three ways of creating each object.
The Database Window Toolbar
The database window toolbar allows you to perform various operations on the currently selected object, or to create a new object of the type currently selected in the Object bar.

The default display of objects in the object list pane can be modified, in a similar way to the right-hand pane of the Windows explorer. The four buttons on the database window allow you to set the following object display properties:
